About Open Source Events

Open Source Events was started by Nathaniel Brown in the fall of 2004 as a means of providing professionals, academics, and executives with a means gaining the extensive experience that industry leaders have to offer through presentations.

PHP West, a division of Open Source Events, provides PHP centered conferences and events to communities around North America. By utilizing the Toolbawks architecture, Open Source Events hopes to provide User Groups and communities around the world with free tools which they can use to promote and engage there local community into attracting the experience from leading speakers and drawing them to speak in there city.

As the Toolbawks evolves, more information will be available to those interested. There is a designated section on this site on the main navigation to provide you with the some of the tools including an evolving Event Planning Manual which is free to download.
